Rock meets Classic 2024 – The “LET’S ROCK TOUR!” with VERANTEC Full-Service Support

Manfred Hertlein presents his successful Rock meets Classic tour in 10 cities again in 2024, and VERANTEC is proud to be part of it once more! Following last year’s highly acclaimed lineup featuring artists like Europe and Uriah Heep, this year’s tour promises yet another unforgettable musical experience.

Rock meets Classic is a unique music format that fuses the raw energy of rock with the grandeur of classical music. The 2024 tour, dubbed the “LET’S ROCK TOUR!,” features an impressive roster of rock legends including Tarja Turunen (formerly NIGHTWISH), John Helliwell & Jesse Siebenberg (SUPERTRAMP), Midge Ure (Ultravox), Robert Hart (MANFRED MANN’S EARTH BAND), and Paul Shortino (QUIET RIOT), with special guest Russ Ballard. These artists deliver not only a range of unforgettable hits but also embody the perfect blend of rock’s dynamic spirit and classical elegance that defines Rock meets Classic.

VERANTEC’s Role on the Rock meets Classic Tour 2024

For the second time, VERANTEC is taking on the challenging full-service role for the Rock meets Classic Tour 2024. Under the experienced leadership of our production manager Jörg Hartung, we ensure a flawless behind-the-scenes operation. Our scope covers almost every technical aspect to guarantee a seamless and impressive concert experience.

In terms of sound, we rely on the state-of-the-art d&b KSL system as the main PA. Orchestral miking is handled with DP4099 microphones, complemented by Shure and Sennheiser microphones for the band and artists. Yamaha Rivage consoles are used at FOH and monitors, ensuring crystal-clear and powerful sound at every show.

The lighting, predominantly from Robe, promises a spectacular light show that perfectly enhances the stage performance.

For camera work, we deploy professional gear like the Blackmagic Ursa and Panasonic UE100, with images mixed and displayed on three LED walls via our new Analog Way Aquilon image processor, capturing every detail of the performances. This allows us to deliver not only a great live experience but also perfect post-production quality.

Our pyrotechnics and rigging teams create safe and stunning effects that make each concert a visually explosive event. The logistics team coordinates trucking and ensures timely delivery of all equipment so everything is in place when needed.

The Rock meets Classic Tour is more than just a showcase of extraordinary musical talents — it’s also a demonstration of technical excellence passionately and precisely delivered by VERANTEC.
