Symphonic Metal Meets Milan – VERANTEC with Rhapsody of Fire in the Orchestra’s Fire

When power metal collides with a symphony orchestra, it’s not just the highs that explode — it’s the heart, too. Rhapsody of Fire, the Italian masters of symphonic metal, are taking on a monumental musical project on April 26 and 27, 2025: two live concerts at the Auditorium di Milano, together with the Orchestra Sinfonica e Coro Sinfonico di Milano.
And who makes sure this epic fusion sounds exactly as it should on site? That’s right — VERANTEC.

Metal Meets Mahler – Technology That Gives You Goosebumps

For the very first time ever, Rhapsody of Fire is performing live with a full orchestra and choir — and for two consecutive days. The first night is already sold out, and tickets are running out fast for the second. No wonder: this is not just music — it’s a celebration of an entire genre.

To ensure the sound remains clear, powerful, and detailed amid thunderous guitar riffs and a 60-piece orchestra, we rely on the full expertise of our sound team: Flo and Anton are on site handling the orchestral sound — combining sensitivity and technical know-how that bridges metal and Mahler.

Beyond patch planning, orchestra and band microphone setup, and front-of-house mixing (orchestra), we also ensure smooth operations around stage management, monitoring, and system integration. After all, every crescendo should flow perfectly into the audience — not into the orchestra pit.

Additionally, we are handling the live recording with over 102 inputs.

Working in the historic Auditorium di Milano demands precision: from careful calibration of the local PA system to virtual soundchecks long before the artists step on stage — no problem for us. We love challenges.
